about us

Welcome to the heart-warming story of Chandran T.V. and the genesis of our orphanage, a beacon of hope, born from adversity and fuelled by unwavering faith and compassion.
Hailing from Chuvannamannu, Thrissur, Chandran’s journey has been marked by the trials of poverty since childhood. Despite the hardships, he forged ahead, he completed his high school education in 1972. Seeking better prospects, he ventured to Karnataka upon receiving a job offer from a neighbour, only to discover that the wages were insufficient to sustain even the most basic necessities of life. Undeterred, he found work in a nearby shop, but the financial strain persisted.
In 1985, his marriage brought both joy and added responsibilities, yet the couple found themselves dwelling in a single-room, grappling with the harsh realities of destitution. Despite their best efforts, a venture met with failure, plunging them further into despair. Overwhelmed by mounting debts and the burden of providing for his family, Chandran found himself at the brink of despair, contemplating the unthinkable.
However, a chance encounter with a divine intervention transformed his life forever. Through a spiritual retreat at the Divine Retreat Centre in Thrissur, he discovered a newfound peace and purpose. Guided by faith, they returned to Kerala, seeking solace amidst familiar surroundings. However, societal prejudices and familial rejection greeted their conversion to Christianity, prompting a courageous move to a shelter provided by a compassionate priest.
For four years, they found solace and stability within the orphanage’s walls, through perseverance and determination; he managed to secure a temporary job, diligently saving every penny towards a noble cause close to his heart. He embarked on a remarkable mission—to create a sanctuary for the most vulnerable among us mission to extend the same love and care to orphaned children, abandoned by society. With the support of compassionate souls and fuelled by God’s grace, Chandran’s dream became a reality on June 4th, 2002, when the orphanage opened its doors in Angamaly.
What began as a humble endeavour blossomed into a sanctuary for 5 children, nurtured by the grace of God and the selfless dedication of chandran and his family. Today, our orphanage stands as a testament to the power of faith, love, and community, offering hope and a brighter future to those in need. Join us in celebrating this journey of compassion and resilience, as we continue to uphold the legacy of care and kindness.
